Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Praises Michael Bay’s Efforts
It’s not easy being in the middle of the eternal conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons. And no, we’re not talking about “Transformers” protagonist Sam Witwicky — as tough as it’s been for Shia LaBeouf’s character throughout the blockbuster series, it’s director Michael Bay who’s really caught in the crossfire.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who makes her big-screen debut as Shia’s new love interest in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” this summer, spoke with MTV News at CinemaCon in Las Vegas about the tireless efforts of Michael Bay, a man who’s now filmed three back-to-back-to-back “Transformers” flicks since 2007.
“Throughout my whole career, I’ve never seen anybody work so hard,” she said of her director. “He’s literally done these ‘Transformers’ movies for six years now.”
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Hopes For More Sequels And a Shia LaBeouf Wedding
Imagine, if you will, a “Transformers” wedding. Not only would the likes of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee be on the guest list, but you could register for some truly outrageous presents.
While there’s no official word just yet on the possibility of a fourth “Transformers” movie (with or without Michael Bay), newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is keeping her fingers crossed that the franchise could even get to that point.
The model-turned-actress, who took over the part of leading lady from Megan Fox for the upcoming “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” already hopes to see a future for her character Carly and the mega-successful franchise.
The 23-year-old won some major points when she told MTV News at last week’s CinemaCon that she read up on her “Transformers” history from the comic books and animated series, learning a major plot point about her character and Sam Witwicky, the central hero played by Shia LaBeouf.
